BB10: Halfwit Freddie and Sophia up for eviction

Things are hotting up in the Big Brother house.
Freddie, the Oxford graduate and Sophia, the banker, have been nominated for eviction by the other house-mates.
My money is on Freddie to follow the fate of Beinazir with his "grating posh voice", perfectly described by Lisa.
The bookies put Saffia as the most likely to be evicted but the house-mates defied this prediction, voting for Halfwit and Sophia after seven gruelling hours of nomination.
BB10: Another day of over-the-top egos

After a rude awakening, the Big Brother house mates woke up to a House extension,
including new rooms new furniture and a swimming pool. Kris, Charlie and Cairon's enthuasiasm soon faded, realising how cold the new pool was.
Sree hilariously boasted of his mass popularity in the diary room where Marcus commented that "He's just like an annoying little brother isn't he?" Big Brother really is the home of false arrogance.
Halfwit (Freddie) told Rodrigo that he has anarchist views. He also used all their eggs in his salad, sparking an arguement. Perhaps his new name is fairly appropriate. Halfwit told Big Brother he will be evicted soon.
BB10: The backstabbing begins on Big Brother

Finally the real business of Big Brothers begins.
The usual mix of false sentiment, fabricated bonds and inevitable bickering is set in place on just another manic monday.
Cairon and Saivish discuss their survival, how they have already forged a strong bond and what it all means in the grand scheme of things.
BB10: Beinazir gets the bus home

Here we go, the first eviction of the series and the non-housemates were queuing at a bus stop with their hopes and dreams at the mercy of the cold hearted phone voting public.
Five would be lucky enough to stay and one would book a one way ticket to the celebrity graveyard.
The tension was exasperated by our very own Queen of suspense, her majesty Davina McCall and the queue was whittled down to two.
BB10: Mum me biscuit's fallen in me brew!

As each moment passes the threat of missing their place in history and being immortalised in the Big Brother hall of fame becomes apparent.
With only four places left and seven vacuous and facile competitors for the spaces, Big Brother tested the dunking skills of the remaining non-housemates.
Which biscuit will survive the the mug of piping hot tea?
BB10: Housemates change names by deed poll

A clothes show, an SAS style invasion and names being changed by deed poll are among the degradation on offer to the 'non-housemates' last night.
On the stroke of midnight the hapless guinea pigs donned vests and underpants in their bid for official status but this was merely an appetiser.
The morning served up a main course of interrogation and scare tactics with walking on glass as part of the entertainment on offer from Charlie and Saffia.
BB10: Noirin shaves off eyebrows for housemate status
Posted by Gemma Jaleel on June 4, 2009 11:46 PM

Why, oh why, oh why, Noirin?
Why would you do this? Big Brother threw a blinder with the first task for non-housemate Rodrigo.
After being called into the diary room and told by BB to find a volunteer to have their eyebrows shaved off and then glasses and a moustache drawn on their face with permanent back - I expected one of the boys to do it.
BB10: This year's oddballs move in!
Posted by Gemma Jaleel on June 4, 2009 11:33 PM

Well, once again I was watching BB through my hands, cringing, feeling physically sick, at this bunch of oddballs.
Why can't we just have a house full of sane people for a change, and the gimmicky twist - "they're not really housemates" - just when you thought the barrel was empty BB manages to scrape something out.
But at this point I felt the exact same way about the housemates last year, so maybe I'll grow to like them.

Well Big Brother is back for another year - love it or hate it, if it helps me get through a rainy summer, that's good enough for me!
As usual the bloggers of Spare Times will be on hand to comment on the housemates and the various shenanigans they get up to.
