Check out the Merseyside Weeklies websites tomorrow to hear a podcast of our exclusive interview with the Kaiser Chiefs.

The band, currently in Copenhagen, are about to embark on a UK arena tour, before taking the summer festivals by storm.

Keyboard player Peanut reflects on a fantastic year for the group, which saw them raise the roof at Anfield Football Stadium alongside Sir Paul McCartney for Liverpool Sound in June.

"That was definitely one to tell the grandkids about!" he laughed. "What an amazing night."

Don't miss this week's Southport Visiter, where you can read our exclusive interview with 90s chart topper Kavana!

The former popstar, who shot to fame with hits 'I Can Make You Feel Good' and 'MFEO' braved the icy coastal winds to promote his latest role, in Jack and the Beanstalk at Southport Arts Centre.

Kavana - real name Anthony Kavanagh - will team up with his Grease is the Word co-star, Alison Crawford and Big Brother babe Stephanie McMichael for the show, which opens at the Arts Centre in April.

The cheeky singer revealed he was preparing to audition for a "big West End role", but said he will remain tight-lipped about what it is until he knows whether or not he has landed the part...

Fingers crossed Kav!

Let's go Wildcats!
