Lots of interesting stuff in today's news sites about the launch of the fourth series of Doctor Who, with the first episode on BBC One this Saturday.
Although the third series was a good 'un (the two-parter about the Doctor having to become human and Blink - the one with the stone angels - were slices of Who usually reserved for the top table), I am far more excited about the prospect of this new series than I was at the same time last year.
This time around, Catherine Tate is on board for the whole series - and the idea of a pair of chums travelling about the universe with absolutely no romantic inclinations whatsoever will make a welcome change after Martha's doe-eyed unrequited smouldering for Tennant last year.
More importantly the titles of all-but-one of the 13 episodes in Season Four are now known, with episode six having the intriguing title of The Doctor's Daughter.
A daughter? Sired by the man who doesn't seem to have any sex drive whatsoever?
What's more, it looks like the daughter in question will be played by Georgia Moffat, the real-life daughter of former Doctor Peter Davison (this is starting to get confusing).
It sounds like a cheeky hark to the past by the current production team.
Years ago, 1980s Who producer John Nathan Turner was aware of a leak from the programme's office in BBC TV Centre, as information he wanted to keep secret about upcoming episodes started appearing in fan-produced magazines without his say-so.
To find out who it was, various fanzine journalists were invited in to the office for an interview with the producer. On the large board Nathan Turner used to keep track of all the serials currently in production, he cunningly added the (fake) story title The Doctor's Wife.
Once the outrage (and Doctor Who fans are really, really good at being outraged about things) over such a story even being considered hit the pages of a certain fanzine, it became a lot easier to trace the source of said leak.
And I'm no expert, but I can imagine lots of internet forums reaching 'outrage' mode today over a title like The Doctor's Daughter.
Saturday at 6.20pm can't come quick enough...
