THEY’VE got six albums under their belt and more than a decade of experience on the dance circuit assimilating house, electro and techno.
It was no surprise the Chemical Brothers were greeted like heroes when they headlined the main stage at Creamfields.
The set list included refreshing tracks from their new album as well as classics like Galvanise, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Out Of Control and Chemical Beats.
The Chemical Brothers certainly gave their fans something to shake their glow sticks and blow their whistles at, but the excitement of the crowd was visible long before they took to the stage.
The UK’s biggest dance festival Creamfields at Daresbury attracted 40,000 people - including many clubbers sporting the most bizarre outfits - thanks to its cool line-up.
Favourites were Mark Ronson and, straight from Leeds Festival, the electronic superstars LCD Soundsystem.
Groove Armada also gave an amazing performance.
Kelis’s Milkshake brought all the dancers to the yard. It would have been even better if the American R&B singer would have known where she was playing (not Manchester!).
Other bands and DJs caused a storm - In the MySpace present Futurism arena were 2 Many DJs. But there was more to Creamfields than just great dance music - a friendly atmosphere set this event apart from all other festivals this summer and the experience gave the crowd goosebumps.
What a way to see out summer!
