Having a Splash Whirl

It is called a 'soft opening' in the trade. Invited guests and competition winners had their first glimpse of Splash World last night before the official opening on Saturday.
Our team was there to see the reaction on people's faces, and they were rightly impressed.

Comedy Cliffhangers

With being away for much of Liverpool Comedy Festival, I was keen to see at least one of the shows before the comics packed away for one more year. And there was one show I was very keen to see.

Barca! Barca! Barca!

Hola from the B Hotel in Barcelona, just a Jonathan Edwards-stylee hop, skip and a jump from the Olympic Stadium in the Catalan capital.
The reason the blog has been quiet this past week is because I am on my annual jollies to foreign climes, and halfway through my first visit, this has to be one of the most remarkable places I have ever visited.

Tugging at Your Heartstrings

The Visiter's team was just too kind to let those strapping lads from Mulligans lose the first heat in the Fun Fest Tug of War competition yesterday (Saturday), so we decided to let them win before picking up the rope.
It was another busy and successful Fun Fest, and let's hope oodles of cash was raised for good causes.
And after seeing the pic of our team trying its best in the Tug, and more importantly, my belly doing its best to burst through my T-shirt, I think there'll be an embargo on pies round at my house for a while.
